Japan’s Maglev Train Breaks World Speed Record. Here’s How They Did It


On a test track west of Tokyo, Japan’s Superconducting Maglev train hits 603km/h an hour, breaking the world train speed record.The test is part of an ambitious plan to build a $47bn high-speed line between Tokyo and Nagoya.If completed as planned in 2027 the 280km between the two could be traveled in around 40 minutes.
