While not all are a cause for concern, some common signs our bodies give us as warnings of bigger problems are often ignored. When our health is at stake, prevention is always better than cure. So it’s a great idea to make an appointment with a doctor when we notice these symptoms.
For this reason, we want to help you prepare for the important signals that our body gives us. Remember to always consult your doctor if you are concerned about your health.

Having a flaky scalp can be a common problem and, combined with hair loss, can be a sign of a lack of important vitamins and nutrients. Low levels of zinc, vitamins B2, B3, B6, and B7, as well as iron, can be the cause of this daily problem.
Wrinkly hands and fingers
The development of wrinkles on our body is a normal and healthy sign of aging, and our fingers usually wrinkle when we have been in the water for a long period of time. But when our hands start to look more wrinkled and lose elasticity faster than other parts of the body, it could be your body that is sending you a warning.
Wrinkles on the fingers without exposure to water can mean dehydration, poor blood circulation, or a problem with the thyroid.
White patches on the tongue
A healthy tongue is usually pink. If you notice white spots on your tongue, it could be a sign of oral thrush, which is very common among people with diabetes. Patches can also be a sign of poor oral hygiene, so upping your oral hygiene game can help with the problem.
Skin rashes
Red, itchy skin is usually a sign of eczema, but sometimes rashes along with a fever can also be caused by infections or contact with certain plants.
Although they do not seem very serious, the spots can become infected, so it is recommended that they be checked by a medical professional.
Swollen ankles
Swollen ankles are a common sign of pregnancy, but if you’re not expecting a child, they could mean poor blood circulation, heart problems, or underactive thyroid glands. A less serious cause of this symptom is eating too much salt, which can lead to fluid retention.
Dry eyes
This can cause a burning sensation, inflammation, and eye damage. Dryness can be caused by aging or certain medications, but it can also be a sign of Sjogren’s syndrome. Sjogren’s syndrome is often accompanied by dry mouth and is a disorder of the immune system.
