Doctors and nurses around the world are working round the clock to help and treat COVID-19 patients. They are, in fact, keeping their lives on stake to abide by their duties and responsibilities. After all, after completing their respective degrees, the doctors and nurses take an oath to help and serve people all their life no matter what. Probably, this is the reason why many doctors around the world are coming out from their retirement to help coronavirus patients.
But Shikha pursued acting as her career and never became a practicing nurse, reports TNIE. But in the time of a national health emergency, Shikha utilized her nursing course and joined the Hindu Hriday Samrat Bala Saheb Thackeray hospital to help coronavirus infected patients.
“After passing the course in college, we had taken the oath to serve society. I think this is the time to do so,” she said, as per an Instagram post photographer Viral Bhayani.
She also shared a video of herself urging people to stay indoors during the lockdown and be thankful to the medics, security personnel and others who are working in the time of health crisis.
Shikha is certainly the kind of hero our country needs right now. Kudos to you, nurse Shikha!
