According to a report by The New York Times, people over the age of 60, especially the ones over 80, are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus. Elderly people have underlying medical conditions which make them all the more susceptible to fatal diseases.
To protect her elderly father from catching the disease, a woman named Lizzie Logan made a flyer with her dad’s picture with the writing, ‘Have you seen this man? Tell him to go home”, reports Hindustan Times.
In a few tweets that followed, Lizzie spoke about how her dad has been “stubborn” and keeps trying to go out despite being advised social-distancing. She asked people online to ask her dad to go back home if ever they spot him outside.
Have a look at her tweets here:

if you spot him, feel free to yell at him! we can do this! pic.twitter.com/qv6K6h6YhB

should we start a "SAVE THE BOOMERS" campaign like they did for pandas? do we keep them in captivity for their own health, knowing they will die in the wild?

People on the internet found the flyer extremely hilarious and many asked for permission to use it as a template for their stubborn parents!

Permission to make this with my moms photo and change the name. She tried to make a Kohl’s run today so a coupon wouldn’t go to waste.

Omg, this is genius- my boomer parents are currently headed out on a multi-day road trip because standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona is somehow the most important thing in their lives right now. Maybe I should offer a reward if spotted 🤔

My 88 year old granny is much the same. I called to make sure she had everything and she's still going out and to church daily. I told her she'd probably die if she gets it. Her response? "well, I had a good run." 🙄

If there are elderly people at home who insist on going outside, it’s better to school them and make them aware of the coronavirus and the need for us as responsible citizens to practice self-quarantine and social-distancing. Safety measures are to be taken seriously during such tense times!
