In Thailand’s Khao Yai National Park, visitors are often told that the best way to get around is by motorbike. But what this visitor didn’t understand at the time was that he had to be careful while riding one of these noisy little machines around the local elephants. It is, after all, their habitat. Bikes aren’t exactly found in nature, so when elephants feel threatened by something that they don’t recognize, they trust their instincts.
It’s something that this tourist learned the hard way.
He should have known better!
Elephants are highly intelligent creatures, so when some hoodlum is making a bunch of noise in their tranquil environment, they’re bound to get agitated! Luckily, this man was able to stay calm.
Let’s all just make sure that we give animals the space and respect they deserve.
