The novel coronavirus is continuing to take its deadly toll on the country. The government and hospitals are bucking up to assure an efficient arrangement of beds, ventilators and other essential facilities for the growing number of coronavirus patients in the nation. Precautions are been taken, states have been put under lockdown to stifle the spread of COVID-19.
In a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, DSGMC president Manjinder Sirsa wrote that all the 20 rooms in the serai inn of the gurudwara that are equipped with modern facilities, can be used for this purpose. “DSGMC will provide separate rooms for heath staff, ample parking in Gurdwara premises and the safest and secure environment,” he added, reports News 18.
“The Gurdwara Committee is fully prepared to provide packed food packets to government agencies and other needy institutions. We can give 10 lakh food packets immediately to the government,” Sirsa said, reports The Hindu.
This is certainly a big contribution by DSGMC in India’s fight against coronavirus. Kudos to the gurudwara authorities for their thoughtful and kind gesture! A big thank you.
