Police Officers In Punjab Purchase Vegetables & Distribute Them For Free To Those In Need

The country has 562 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (43 foreign nationals and 519 Indians) out of which 41 have recovered and 9 have died, reports Financial Express. Which is why the entire nation has been put under complete lockdown for 21 days. Cops, who are still working, are ensuring no one ventures outside unless it is an emergency. At the same time, they’re also helping those in need.

According to NDTV, Punjab police officers purchased all available vegetables from an elderly vendor so that he could return home. In addition, they made him rub his hands with sanitizer while leaving. The video also shows cops distributing food and water to underprivileged kids and others.

They received appreciation from Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh as well as desi Twitter for going above and beyond their duty to help citizens during these difficult times.
